Manish is a Registered Clinical Psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board and a member of New Zealand Psychological Society. He is also a registered Psychologist with ACC and consults in private practice at Pakuranga Medical Centre.

Manish has over 20 years of clinical experience in providing psychotherapy and counselling for people with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, abuse and trauma (physical, emotional, sexual) and complex grief. He has previously worked in a wide range of settings including hospital, university and corporate sector with teaching, clinical, managerial and research positions.

He takes an integrated approach in promoting the overall well-being of individuals, couples and families. He specialises in Adult mental health and Cognitive behaviour therapies (CBT), Schema therapy, Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-based interventions. He has special interests in psychoanalytical approaches, couple and family therapies.

Manish provides specialised consultations and assessments: ACC assessments, Mental injury assessments, Pre-adoption reports, Pre-sentencing reports, Immigration assessments, and Diagnostic clarifications,

He has supervised psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers and nursing professionals. He has been an invited speaker at workshops and conferences and published scientific articles in journals and books.

Manish believes that we all have personal and emotional challenges from time to time and psychological therapies have tremendous potential in helping others regardless of culture, ethnicity or race as human values of compassion, respect, empathy, kindness connect all of us. He enjoys playing badminton, cricket and has been an advisor for interactive theatre.
